It's okay if your final invoice is less than or more than the amount you originally applied for!
For Take a Year or Take Two Years loans:
If your total invoice is less than the amount you applied for, your clinic will finalize the loan for the actual amount of your invoice at the end of your visit, and you will then only owe that final amount.
If your total invoice is more than the amount you applied for, check the confirmation email you received after accepting your Scratchpay payment plan. The confirmation email will also indicate if you may be approved for additional funding. If so, simply reapply for the additional amount you need.
For Take 5 payment plans:
If your total invoice is less than the amount you applied for, your clinic will finalize the loan for the actual amount of your invoice at the end of your visit, and you will then only owe that final amount. The amount of your down payment will not change, but the subsequent four payments will be adjusted to each be 1/4 of the outstanding payment amount.
For example, suppose your original payment plan was for $100, and you made a down payment of $20. In that case, the final amount of your bill is only $60, each of your four remaining payments will be for $10 ($60 total minus $20 down payment equals $40 outstanding. $40 divided by 4 equals $10).
If your total invoice is more than the amount you applied for, you can:
- use the full amount of your existing Take 5 payment plan and pay the remainder of the invoice via another method
or
- reapply for the full amount of the invoice. Please note that we cannot guarantee that all applications will be approved, even if that same applicant was already approved for a lower amount.
